PLM Differentiators
8 Things To Consider When Making a PLM Solutions Provider Decision

Enough hard evidence exists today to support the fact that making a decision to implement PLM will have long lasting, beneficial results for any company, large or small. Reductions in time to market of up to 40%, increased revenue of up to 19%, and decreases of up to 16% in product development cost are no longer targets, they are reality.

The challenge is, with virtually every solution provider sounding similar at a high level, how can your company make the most informed decision about what is best for your company. Leveraging more than 50 years of cumulative experience in the field, Sequoia Etc has now made available a white paper outlining 8 key areas that should be considered when making a PLM decision. Learn how to cut through the hype and get down to the detail of what is necessary to be successful. Click here to register and download a copy today. Take the first step in helping your company achieve the next big competitive advantage.

Solidworks - Straight from the Author of the Bible

This is so amazing.  Matt Lombard, author of the Solidworks 2007 Bible posted an honest critique of Solidwork's 2008 release and got banned from the Solidworks user forum.  So I guess on their user forum you can post comments as long as they are positive.  Sure doesn't sound like the honest and forthright forums we have on PTC/User.  So who's a user centric company now?

Dan J. Dial, CEO

Read the original article and Matt Lombard's response to being blocked by SolidWorks.

PS  Notice how Solidworks has focused on core solid modeling functionality, but the more advanced fuctions become progressively less stable as you get further from the basics.  We always knew it was a shallow software, I guess it's getting thinner with age.

Teamcenter Works with Pro/E?!?

Folks, if you have ever wondered how important it is for your Product Lifecycle Management system to understand your CAD system, check out this article.  It is just an ordinary user so frustrated he actually took the time to write an article.  If you think of all the times you have been upset by the world enough to actually take the time to write it down, then you know how upset this person is.

Personally, I am encouraged not only by PTC's commitment to their own integration between Windchill and Pro/ENGINEER, but their commitment to keep Windchill working with other CAD systems as well as they do their own.

Dan J. Dial, CEO

PS  I have personally interviewed customers with Agile who are having the same types of difficulties.
